Student Travel: The Only Way To Go!

Fully experiencing and appreciating freedom and independence is what Life is all about! Student travel has become increasingly popular today, and rightly so. What better way to spend a summer or gap year than creating the trip that dreams are made of? Life flies by and respects no one left in its wake. Every human being should make the most of every second of his or her life.

Central American student travel comes in many forms. Regardless of personal preferences, extreme students will want to do it by their own timetables. Floating from place to place as the mood takes them for an indefinite period of time can be half the fun. Get your kicks white water rafting and then head back to your hotel via a jungle trek, or book onto a boat to a remote island to scuba for a couple of days. The choice is yours!

This certainly makes for the extraordinary adventure, and the freedom that it permits is unmatched. It opens up some unique experiences and you, can completely take credit for that!

There are also structured student travel tours. Companies like Trek America offer tours to Belize, Guatemala and Costa Rica. Groups of 10 students travel together with a representative but have a flexible itinerary. Amazing activities can be crammed in to make sure that everyone has the excitement and adventure they want. The only disadvantage of this type of tour is that they last for a set period of time. Although you are not able to stay on, you still have freedom within a time range of your choosing.

Lastly, there's the gap year. The year between school and college can permit you to experience a full-blown student travel expedition with the same freedom and independence. This type of travel gives you the opportunity to travel and also help native people along the way. Community projects offered by companies like Raleigh International are aimed at persons looking to make a difference in the world. Think of it – an amazing adventure combined with local activities and surfing, trekking and scuba diving. Building schools, restoring communities and cleaning water supplies in Nicaragua and Costa Rica are just some of the projects on offer.

Student travel should be backpack travel. You can't experience the world in all its glory from a package holiday resort. Having someone dictate what you are going to do and when has a tendency to squash the purpose of travel. Grasp your freedom; explore the wonders of Central America while you can!
