Backpacking The World One Day At A Time!

Backpacking is a great way to travel these days. The idea of packing your life into one bag and travelling the world may seem a bit daunting at first but it is the only way to do it properly. Package holidays are all well and good but you will spend all of your time in a commercialised setting and that prevents you from experiencing the world in a totally different light.
Exploring gives you the opportunity to become acquainted with the culture of the locals, broaden horizons, and enjoy experiences that you would never see in a guidebook.
Backpacking in Central America is a fantastic experience but if your itinerary is 'rigid' and time-constraining, this may not be the option for you. If you fall in love with a specific country and desire to stay a little longer, your schedule may need to be altered. Adventuring in Central America means taking in all of the diverse countries. Panama, Belize, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Colombia, El Salvador and Honduras all of which are must-sees, in their own and unique way and ALL deserve special attention.
Aside from the fact that it's easier to carry a backpack around with you than a suitcase, travelling light has other benefits. You can pick up your stuff and leave one area at a moment's notice giving you the freedom to do as you please. You'll meet like-minded travellers in hostels, bus rides, and other activities and you may want to fit in with their plans as well.
The lack of heavy luggage means it will be easier for you to get around when you are travelling. As a rule, the roads in Central American countries are very poor, making for some uncomfortable journeys. You may have to stand on a bus for several hours at a time and if you have a backpack, it is easier to store it or hang onto it.
Backpacking, in my opinion, is the only way to travel if you want to really experience the world. Seeing it and experiencing it are very different things. If 'kicking back' and getting away from stress is what you are looking for then Central America should be your first stop. So pack the essentials, and hop on a plane. You won't regret it!
